Knit Your Own Dog: Easy-to-Follow Patterns for 25 Pedigree Pooches by Sally Muir & Joanna Osbourne. While I don't have a crafty bone in my body, even I was tempted to give knitting my own dog a try. Instead, I opted for someone else to do it and in my search, found a whole host of talented, felters/knitters on Etsy.com like La Petites by LaCharmour. However, if you have the patience of a saint and want to give it a go, Knit Your Own Dog features pattens for 25 different breeds, from hounds to hunting dogs and pugs to poodles. The step-by-step instructions walk you through knitting each dog and the accompanying photography is fun to look at (see a sampling below). Happy knitting!
